Two Jamaat leaders held
Police arrested two Jamaat-e-Islami leaders in separate incidents in Lalmonirhat and Narail on Thursday and yesterday.
Chandropur union's Jamaat ameer Mawlana Anowar Hossain, 45, was arrested yesterday for his alleged involvement with anti-government activities, said our Lalmonirhat correspondent.
In Narail, the arrestee is Md Aiyub Hossain Khan, joint secretary of the district unit of Jamaat.
Police sources said Aiyub was arrested on charge of attacking law enforcers on November 5 during a Jamaat procession, said our district correspondent.
