This is not new. It happened many times in Bangladesh but none of the culprits got capital punishment. The rapists should get death penalty. Concerned citizen
Hope these beasts can not evade punishment just because there was a delay in filing the case or medical evidences might have been lost. Also, pray for the poor girl and hope she gets well soon. With the two most important leaders of the nation being women, we all hope exemplary punishment will be meted out to the rapists. Nasim Hasan
Our state has never been able to do justice to the rape victims. Clumsy laws, procedural delay and lack of modern forensic facilities are also responsible for this. Creating strong social awareness is a must to prevent these kinds of crimes. It is really pathetic as well as unfortunate for the people of Bangladesh that assault on women is an everyday matter whereas the prime minister of the country is a woman. Reaz Hassan

I am anxiously looking forward to see how the nation reacts to this cruel incident. Something sinister like this has taken place in the recent past in India and the world has witnessed the reaction of the general people. The only punishment to this loathsome crime is death and no bail should be given to the accused. Besides, the accused and their families must be shown in the print and electronic media so that they can feel the social stigma that the girls bear, although nothing can be compared to the victims' sufferings.
