Bangladeshis can get jobs in Qatar: Minister

Staff Correspondent
Bangladeshi workers may have good job opportunities in Qatar as the Middle East country plans mega-infrastructure for the World Cup Football in 2022, hoped Expatriates' Welfare Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain yesterday. The country will recruit Bangladeshi workers in different sectors, including service and construction sectors, he said after a meeting with a delegation of Qatar at his ministry. Qatar's labour ministry's legal affairs department manager Sheikh Mohamamd Hasan-Al-Obaidi led the four-member delegation and discussed the recruitment issue with Mosharraf, said a press release. As Qatar has to build some stadiums and five-star hotels for the World Cup, this will require a huge number of workers and Bangladesh will get priority there, said Mosharraf.
