14 houses gutted in fire
A fire gutted 14 houses in Satkania upazila of Chittagong yesterday.
The fire originated from an electric short circuit in a house in Bajalia area at about 11:45am and soon engulfed to other houses, said sources at Agrabad Fire Service and Civil Defence Station.
On information, a fire fighting unit from Satkania Station rushed to the spot and doused the fire after one hour of their efforts.
