Road crashes kill 4, injure 7
Four people were killed and seven others injured in separate road accidents in Rajbari, Gaibandha and Rangpur on Saturday and yesterday.
Our Kushtia correspondent reports, two persons were killed instantly and two others injured when a Baliakandi-bound auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a human hauler on Rajbari-Baliakandi road at Raipur in Baliakandi upazila of Rajbari yesterday, said police.
The deceased are Abdur Razzak, 70, and Mahfuz, 40, of village Telakandi in Baliakandi.
The injured Nekbor Hossain, 38, and Kobita, 14, were admitted to Baliakandi Upazila Health Complex.
Our Gaibandha correspondent reports, a tractor driver died on the spot as the soil-laden vehicle turned turtle and fell into a ditch beside Gaibandha-Sadullapur road at Shahar Bazar yesterday afternoon.
The deceased is Ferdous Hossain, 25.
BSS from Rangpur reports, a woman was killed and five others injured after a pickup hit a human hauler at Bilaichondi Bazar in Parbotipur upazila on Saturday.
The deceased is Shahnaz, 28.
The injured Bhuttu, 40, Shahnaz's husband, their daughter Binti, 7, Lucky, 26, Kawser Ali, 42, and Bimal Chandra, 33, were admitted to Syedpur Government Hospital in Nilphamari.
