4 including Buet student killed in road accidents

Four people, including a student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) were killed and four others injured in road accidents in Cox's Bazar, Brahmanbaria and Dinajpur on Tuesday night and yesterday. Our Cox's Bazar correspondent reports, two people were killed and a boy was injured when a truck rammed into a passenger shed and a thatched house at Kolatoli intersection in Cox's Bazar on Tuesday night. The deceased are Abdur Rahim, 24, a fourth year student of the Naval Architecture and Marin Engineering Department at Buet, and Ujjal Dhar, of Peshkarpara of Cox's Bazar; and the injured was Robiul Hassan, 10. Police said the accident took place when the truck hit the passenger shed and house after its driver lost control over the steering killing Rahim on the spot. Our Brahmanbaria correspondent, reports, a man was killed and three others were injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria yesterday. The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. Police said the accident took place when a truck fell into a roadside ditch after its driver lost control over the steering. Our Dinajpur correspondent reports, a girl was killed in a road accident in Biral upazila of Dinajpur yesterday. The victim was Shefali Roy, 5, daughter of Mohadev Chandra Roy of Kumarpara village. Police said the accident took place as a tractor hit the girl when she was playing beside a road killing her on the spot.
