Road crashes kill 8
Eight people were killed and 15 others injured in road accidents in six districts on Friday and yesterday.
Our Ctg staff correspondent reports, motorcyclist, Belal, 25, died as a pickup van hit him on Chittagong-Khagrachhari highway near Sarkar Hat in Hathazari upazila yesterday morning.
Our Chapainawabganj correspondent adds, two people were killed and six others injured as a truck rammed a human hauler in Bagachhara of Mohadebpur upazila in Naogaon yesterday.
The dead are Taslim Uddin, 30, and Abul Hossain, 25, of Naogaon sadar upazila.
Our Pabna correspondent reports, two people were killed and four others injured as a truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Jalalpur Dhopaghata in Sadar upazila yesterday.
The dead are Imran, 17, of Santhia upazila; and Pramanik, 50, of the Sadar upazila.
Our staff correspondent from Sylhet reports, Afzal, 7, son of Mosobbir Ali and a student of Jatua Government Primary School, died as a truck hit him on Sylhet-Sunamganj highway at Jatua in Chhatak of Sunamganj yesterday.
Our Thakurgaon correspondent reports, Poresh, 45, of Amgaon Debraj in Haripur upazila, was killed and his wife and daughter were injured as a bus hit their motorbike on at Kamarpukur in the upazila on Friday.
Our Brahmanbaria correspondent reports, a man was killed and three other passengers of a CNG-run auto-rickshaw were injured as the auto-rickshaw hit a covered van at Shatbarga in Bijoynagar upazila yesterday. The deceased is Hira Lal, 23.
