Mother, daughter acid-burnt
A woman and her daughter became victim of acid violence at village Jalirpar under Maksudpur upazila in Gopalganj district on Friday night.
Milan Rani Bagchi, 45, and her daughter Laxmi Rani Bagchi, 23, got burn injuries on the faces as their neighbour Tulu Bagchi threw acid on them at about 10:00pm on Friday, police said, adding that the incident occurred as a sequel to previous enmity.
The victims were admitted to Rajoir Upazila Health Complex.
Tulu Bagchi went into hiding after the incident.
