Soya bean Tk 125 per litre in Khulna
Soya bean was sold at Tk 125 per litre in Khulna city yesterday.
The price may soar further in two- three days, retailers at kitchen markets said.
Most of the retailers said that this popular edible had already gone beyond purchasing capacity of the common, particularly low income group of people. Talking to this correspondent, some retailers said they will be compelled to stop sale of soya bean as buyers abuse them for its abnormal price rise.
There are two different versions of wholesalers. One group alleged that some of wholesalers were hoarding soy bean to create an artificial crisis to earn more profit.
Another group blamed inadequate supply for the price hike.
