Joint forces caught Sylhet district chief of Awami Juba League and and ward commissioner Jagadish Das yesterday. He faces a number of allegations for extortion, land grabbing, vandalism and other criminal acts. Jagadish was held as he was returning home from voter registration centre at Rikabibazar in the city. Police said Jagodish had been hiding since declaration of emergency. He was being interrogated when the report was filed in the evening,
