Fisherman killed by tiger
A fisherman was killed in an attack by a tiger in Baniakhali area of the west Sundarbans yesterday.
The victim was Shahid Fakir, 34, son of late Ansar Fakir of Maheshwaripur in Koyra upazila.
Shahid went to the forest around 5:30am. During fishing in the area, a tiger suddenly attacked him and dragged him into the deep forest.
Later, forest guards recovered his badly bruised body and handed it over to his family.
