Man fatally run over by train
A man died on the spot after he was run over by a train at Badarganj upazila in Rangpur on Friday.
The deceased was Bhupaty Chandra Roy, 45, an officer of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank of Taxerhat branch of the upazila.
Local sources said a Parbatipur-bound local train ran him over when he was walking along the rail tracks of Badarganj Railway Station while talking over his mobile phone around 7:30pm on Friday.
The body was handed over to the victim's family without autopsy, said railway station sources.
