Train hits Rab car injuring eight

Eight members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab-5) were injured when a local train rammed their patrol car on an unguarded level crossing on Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj highway in Rajshahi city early yesterday. Four of the injured, have been shifted to Dhaka from Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) while the others are undergoing treatment at RMCH. The incident occurred as there was no gateman or barrier on Bilshimla level crossing, said Jubayer, ASP. M Ferdous Alam, general manager of West Zone of Bangladesh Railway, said Bilshimla is an "unauthorised" level crossing.
