B'baria teachers vow to resist crimes

About 75 teachers of 30 colleges and schools in the district took a vow to resist crime at a seminar held here yesterday. Transparency International in Bangladesh (TIB) organised the seminar titled, 'Role of Teachers in Resisting Corruption.' Held at the Zila Parisahad auditorium, the seminar was presided by Brahmanbaria Sachetan Nagorik Committee member Prof Shafiqul Bari. Sarail Degree College teacher Prof Manab Bardan Pal read out the key-note paper while Brahmanbaria Sachetan Nagorik Committee convener Advocate Abu Taher delivered the welcome address. Among others, Brahmanbaria Sachetan Nagorik Committee president Prof Muhammad Mukhlesur Rahman Khan, district education officer FA Abdul Jabbar, Principal Enamul Kanir, Principal Hafez Muhammad Safiqur Rahmman, Brahmanbaria Annada Government High School head master Gopal Chandra Bhoumik, Nihar Ranjan Das, Lecturer Md Nurul Islam, Md Abrur Rahim and Advocate Amirul Haque Taher attended.
