All 26 acquitted in UP chairman murder case
A court here yesterday acquitted all the 26 charge-sheeted accused in Shurkhali Union Parisad (UP) chairman Jahan Ali murder case.
They included Batiaghata upazila Awami League (AL) general secretary Abdul Aziz Golder
Khulna Divisional Speedy Trial Tribunal Judge Abdus Salam Shikder delivered the judgement in presence of all the accused.
UP chairman Jahan Ali Sheikh, also general secretary of Batiaghata upazila Jubo Dal was gunned down at Gaoghara ferry ghat at night on July 5, 2003.
