Hotelier killed for demanding arrear bills
A restaurant owner was strangulated and stabbed to death at Jafflong Bazaar yesterday as he demanded arrear bills from some stone quarry labourers.
Police arrested three labourers after father of victim Ismail Hossain filed a murder case. The arrestees are Rabindra Chandra Das of Kalupur in Sunamganj, Nitendra Singh of Adampur in Netrokona and Swapon Kumar of Ajmiriganj in Habiganj.
Police said during interrogation they confessed to their involvement in the murder. Ismail was killed as he demanded Tk 14,000 arrear bills from the labourers Sunday morning.
