Voters decline in Barisal city
The number of voters in Barisal City Corporation (BCC) has declined by 39,632.
There are 1, 79,293 voters including 91,351 males and 87,942 female in 30 BCC wards, according to lists published by Election Commission here on Monday.
The number was 2, 18,925 as per the earlier voter lists, EC sources said.
Barisal district election officer Manirul Islam and Sadar upazila election officer Maniruzzaman said that the published final voter lists will be preserved at district and upazila election offices. Copies will be sent to offices of BCC, deputy commissioner and additional deputy commissioners, upazila nirbahi officer and joint forces.
Any one can see the lists at the EC office for any correction till declaration of election schedule or purchase a copy, they said.
