Expats urged to invest in stock market
Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Faruque Ahmed Siddiqi yesterday said non-resident Bangladeshis, who have been contributing greatly to our national economy, can easily get involved in the country's stock market.
He was addressing as chief guest the inaugural function of the 2-day capital market fair in Sylhet.
Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) arranged the fair with co-operation of their Sylhet-based members at Hafiz Complex at Dhopadighirpar in the city.
The CSE-organised fair will provide the investors with necessary knowledge on the stock market and create awareness among people including professionals, service-holders, businessmen and housewives in Sylhet, he hoped.
The CSE through its members in Sylhet has been providing online share trading facilities for the general investors since 1998.
