Ex-BNP MP sued for bomb attack
Five people including former BNP lawmaker M Akbar Ali have been sued for bomb explosion at a house of Jhikira village in Ullapara upazila of Sirajganj district.
Saiful Islam Bablu of Jhikira village lodged the case with Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court in Sirajganj on Thursday accusing five BNP leaders.
Other accused in the case are Ullapara upazila BNP leader Helal Sarker, Abdul Zalil, Jahangir Talukder and Ashraf Ali.
Saiful said in his complaint that the BNP men exploded bomb at his house on the night of October 3 in 2004 in a bid to kill him and his wards.
Rahman, elite judge of the court issued an order to CID police for investigation the matter and submitting report to the court.
Earlier an extortion case was lodged with the court against seven BNP leaders including Akbar and his wife Momena Ali.
