Maid murdered
The employers tortured to death a nine-year-old domestic help at Khalipha Patti in Sirajganj town on Sunday night.
The deceased, Ratna Khatun, daughter of rickshaw puller Shahin Bisha of Shahidnagar Beparipara in the town, had been serving as a domestic help at the house of Akmal Hossain, owner of Shirin Medical Hall in Sirajganj town.
On Sunday night, they tortured Ratna mercilessly and kept her confined to a room.
As she succumbed to her injuries at around 10:00pm, Akmal and Ruli went into hiding after hanging her body from the ceiling.
The victim's mother Salma Khatun lodged a case with Sirajganj Sadar Police Station.
