First batch trainees get certificate
The first batch participants of month-long training programme on sweater knitting and linking received certificates at a function in Nilphamari yesterday.
Nilphamari Deputy Commissioner Md Rashidul Hasan was present as chief guest and Major Anis Md Ershadul Haque, commander of Nilphamari amry camp, and Nazmul Hasan Bhuyan, chairman of Sweater Cell of BGMEA, were special guests at the function presided over by Nilphamari municipality Chairman Dewan Kamal Ahamed.
Army chief General Moeen U Ahmed initiated the training programme for developing skilled manpower in the monga-prone northern region.
BGMEA provides financial and technical support for the programme.
