Slow Loris killed in Baralekha
A rare species of monkey has been electrocuted in Baralekha. It came in contact with live wire in front of the Upazila Health Complex gate as it came out of the forest to search food on April 11, sources said. Emdadul Haque, an official of the Center for Natural Resource Study of Coastal and Wetland Bio-diversity Management Project under the Department of Environment said, such rare monkey was not seen in Baralekha forests before. Wild life experts identified it as Modest Monkey. Its face is like a 'black faced monkey' (Honuman) but the colour of its body is white.
