Project to develop eunuchs' life
Non-government organisation Losauk has undertaken a project to bring about some changes in the lifestyle of hijras (eunuchs) residing in Khulna city and elsewhere in the district.
The Norway-funded project aims at providing the eunuchs with facilities for schooling, job and social rights. There are about 2,000 eunuchs in Khulna city.
Losauk has introduced non-formal education for the hijra community at Khalishpur.
