Arms, ammo recovered in Mohalchhari
The Army in a raid recovered a revolver with six bullets and one magazine from the house of Benoyboron Chakma in Kengalchhari in remote Mohalchhari upazila in the district.
During the dive led by Maj. Abdul Gaffer, the army also recovered 1400 hemp plants from lands of Kengalchhari Mouza Headman Polin Talukder, Bangaliya Chakma and Karanmoy Karbari.
They had cultivated hemp on 1.5 acres, sources said.
Narcotics Department Inspector Mohammad Kamruzzaman, ASI Mohammad Harun and Constable Ringhu Chakma accompanied the army during recovery of the hemp plants, sources said.
