6 Shibir men sued for mugging

Six leaders of Islami Chhatra Shibir, including Azizul Huq College unit president Shahin and general secretary Badsha, were sued yesterday for snatching ornaments and valuables and attacking students of the college on Sunday. Shibir cadres swooped on three students of the college when they were announcing a function arranged on the occasion of the death anniversary of scientist Albert Einstein, complainant Habiba Nasrin, a student of the college, said in the case filed with Sadar Police Station. During the attach, Shibir men snatched away a gold chain worth Tk 19,000, a mobilephone and Tk 3,000 in cash from her, she added. The other accused Shibir cadres are Awalad, Masud, Akash and Nur Islam.
