Satkhira YES Group vows to fight graft

Speakers at a workshop yesterday urged youths and students to come forward to root out corruption. Youths can play a vital role to launch a movement against corruption and creating awareness among people against the vice. They urged the Youth Engagement and Support (YES) group volunteers to launch the movement-- 'Say No to Corruption'. The workshop was organised by Satkhira Sachetan Nagarik Committee (conscious citizens committee), a chapter of Transparency International, Bangladesh (TIB). It was held at Rishilpi Training Center at Binerpota in Sadar upazila to train the volunteers. TIB Senior Programme Officer Saif Uddin Ahmed, Programme Officer Toufiq Mahi Uddin, and assistant programme officers Nakib Rajib Ahmed and Firoij Ahmed were resource persons. At the workshop, the YES group volunteers vowed to fight corruption for development of the country.
