Ex-UP leader held, arms recovered
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested a former UP chairman and his employee and recovered a country-made shotgun on Thursday night.
The arrestees are Tareq Ali Khan, 42, ex-chairman of Lohalia Union Parishad under Patuakhali Sadar upazila and Shahjahan Howlader, 50, a worker at Tareq's hatchery.
Acting on a tip, Rab raided Tareq's hatchery at Lohalia village near his residence and recovered a shotgun, Rab said. The two arrestees were handed over to Sadar Police Station.
