Acid attack on woman in Patuakhali
A woman has acid burned as quarrel with a disputed land on Thursday night.
The victim is Aleya Begum, 30, of Najirpur village under Patuakhali Sadar upazila.
Aleya's cousin Sabuj Majhee and his accomplices threw acid on Alyea through the window when she was sleeping with her daughter Nasrin, police and family sources said. Aleya identified Sabuj when he was fleeing after throwing acid.
Locals admitted Aleya at Patuakhali General Hospital from where doctors sent her to Dhaka Acid Survivors Foundation with the help of NGO Brac.
