Chevron begins seismic survey in Komolganj
US oil company Chevron yesterday began its 3D seismic survey in Baligram and Bagmara villages in Komolganj upazila in the district. The area is about five kilometers from Lawachhara reserve forest.
The survey will continue for three days, sources said.
Chevron completed its 3D seismic survey in Lawachhara reserve forest Tuesday morning. The survey in the forest triggered protests by locals and environmentalists.
