Pabna AL demands Hasina's release
Holds first EC meeting since allowing indoor politics
Pabna district Awami League held the first meeting of its executive committee yesterday since allowing indoor politics in the country.
Former lawmaker and Pabna AL president Samsur Rahman Sarif Dilu chaired the meeting, held at the party office.
At least 55 executive committee members of the district committee attended the meeting that began at about 10 am, party sources said.
The meeting was addressed by, among others, district unit secretary Samsul Haque Tuku, Golam Hasnayen, Amjad Hossain, Rejaur Rahim Lal and Abdul Hamid Master.
The speakers demanded release of party chief Sheikh Hasina and lifting of emergency for holding of a credible national election.
The meeting also adopted a resolution demanding release of Hasina.
