Nikli Launch Tragedy
One more body found
Another body was recovered yesterday after four days of stoppage of rescue operation following Nikli disaster on Monday, police said.
The decomposed body was identified by relatives as Kamrul Islam, 32, a cucumber and watermelon trader of Brahmanbaria, police said. Later, relatives took the body to his home.
With recovery of the new body, the death toll in the launch capsize rose to 47.
MV Chandpur, a launch bound for Mithamoin from Kuliarchar sunk in the Ghorantra River at Gharodigha village in Nikli in the evening after being hit by a tornado.
