ACC probing wealth of Khulna mayor, family
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has started investigating property and wealth belonging to Khulna Mayor Sheikh Tayebur Rahman and six other members of his family.
Khulna district ACC assistant director (AD) Ashraful Islam wrote letters to the sub-registrars of Khulna, Bagerhat and Dhaka asking them to urgently submit report on findings of the investigation on May 13.
Six other members of the mayor's family are wife Laila Arjumand Banu, daughters Naurin Laila Bubli, Tayeba Nasrin Shampa, Selina Yasmin, only son Ashik Iqbal and daughter-in-law Shumehara Jahin Iqbal.
