Painting competition marks Zainul's death anniversary
A painting competition for school children was organised by Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin Sangrahashala (art gallery) on its premises yesterday marking the 32nd death anniversary of Shilpacharya.
Dulal Chandra Gain, Assistant Keeper of the art gallery, inaugurated the competition. More than 150 children from 20 educational institutions in and outside the district town took part in the competition in three groups. Of the total, 11 were selected for prizes.
A discussion on the life and works of the great artist will be held on May 28 at the art gallery hall room.
