Crime and punishment

Many years ago in the USA a man was given capital punishment and executed on murder charges. But the man was not involved in that murder and his family knew about his innocence. However, after a long time when his children became adults, they appealed to the court for retrial of the case. Their appeal was accepted and the case was reviewed. After long hearing and re-examination the court found him "'NOT GUILTY". When this Not Guilty verdict was pronounced the family requested the court to place an official placard on the man's grave saying that the man was innocent and he was wrongly executed. Accordingly, the court ordered the government to implement it and it was followed. Here in our country if a criminal is dead his name is dropped from the list of the accused. I put some examples-- Khondaker Mustaque Ahmed, the mastermind behind jail killings. He plotted to kill the father of the nation. Some killers of Bangabandhu are dead, their names have been dropped from the list of under trial accused. I believe, this is not correct. A man who committed crimes against humanity, betrayed the nation, should not go unpunished. I believe they should not be dropped, they should remain as co-accused, tried along with the living ones. If found guilty a placard should be placed on their graves to give massage to others that one cannot escape justice even after death. If there is no such law in our country, we should make one to deter people from committing such heinous crimes.
