The major environmental concerns for Bangladesh are deforestation, deterioration of water quality, natural disasters, land degradation, salinity, unplanned urbanisation, discharge of untreated sewage, industrial sewage and so on. The main cause of environmental degradation is lack of appropriate policies and awareness. In Bangladesh, there is no appropriate system in place to examine and assess our environmental needs. However, the Ministry of Environment and Forests should play the key role to save the environment from further pollution.
