<i>Give the nation a chance</i>

The nation has never before faced this in history-- the 1/11 and its aftermath. It is known to everyone that it is the 'politicians', hooligans more appropriately, who had pushed the country, the nation, into wholesale disrepute, and deprived it of real all-round progress. The arrests were made, and now so tamely they are released to contest the elections! It simply is a sham, and a serious precedence of getting scot-free, no matter what CRIME is committed! We don't understand what examples are being set for the nation. The same old greedy and incompetent politicians are to come to power to decide and play with the nation's fate! Alas, and sorry, Bangladeshis! it is your fate to be governed by the same GREEDY people. Is this we call democracy? What happened to other 'veterans' of the parties? For both the parties emotion, related to death, is the only capital. Hence it is being used to come to power time and again. Therefore, the same faces, and same policies and trends and incompetence. Unless we are educated enough to exercise our own, personal, non-influenced voting right, we cannot cry hoarse for a truly representative parliament. Only a National Govt. can lead the nation at this crucial juncture of history. We have seen that the parties have not changed at all. They are ready to bring about ANARCHY and incompetence again. So, my request is to form a national govt. of elite consensus and for the time being the grassroots may not be called for a REPLAY of previous role play by the same old people and policies. Dear politicians, please give it a serious thought, and rise above the petty personal gains. Please compromise for the sake of the nation. Imagine how much the nation looks up to you, handful people! Show your courage and put the NATION FIRST in your 'mind', thoughts and deeds. UNITE and Serve! Go back to history for the right reasons, not just a chronology or who's who. Demonstrate your true spirit of serving the nation with courage. Once the national decision making is in the right hands, the nation can be on the right track, heading for newer challenges. And then there should be a truly representative govt. The voters in millions can truly exercise their rights purely on their own choice and not misled, or 'bought' or threatened, or 'mesmerised' or even kidnapped or beaten! Give the nation some time to breathe, educate and be in peace to make some real progress. Because with time we are really getting incompetent. There is solid evidence of it, and the political turmoil is at the root of all decay and retardation! So, the thought of the time is a National Government, (the current panacea).
