Ashraful's captaincy

Since Ashraful has become the captain of the Bangladesh Team, his batting performances has been deteriorating, with the exception of a few good innings. He rarely was able to lead the team from the front. In addition, I think, he lacks the urge to win the games. We need a captain who is a fighter, who fights till the last ball is played and who does not give up on any game. Certainly, Ashraful is not the man. In this Test match series, he again did not bat well. What is surprising is that when he came to bat, in both the innings, he was smiling, as if, we won the match already; and there was nothing to worry about. It seems he does not understand that he needs to concentrate and work hard to get the runs. I think it would be better for both himself and the Bangladesh Team, if Ashraful steps down from captaincy and concentrates solely on his batting, because it is certain that he is a talented batsman. But we are missing his wonderful batting performances due to the pressure of the captaincy. It is not necessary that the best batsman would be the best captain. Since there is no senior player in the team, Abdur Razzak or Sakib Al Hassan could be a contender for the job. Both these players are in good forms, they both are good bowlers and also can bat well, when required. They have the fighting spirit. Mashrafee, though is a very good bowler, his bating is not consistent. Many times he threw his wicket away (except in the second innings of this test). So, Ashraful should step down and make room for a better and fighting captain, which Bangladesh Team deserves.
