Khulna Hardboard Mill closed
Khulna Hardboard Mill was closed Monday night due to severe crisis of furnace oil.
Production at the mill will remain suspended till December 16, managing director (MD) Khalilur Rahman said.
The decision of closure was taken following start of overhauling of Chittagong Eastern Refinery Limited which supplied fuel oil to the mill, the MD said.
Khulna Hardboard Mill requires 56,000 litre of furnace oil every week. When requested, authorities of local oil depots expressed their ability to supply only 27,000 litre of furnace oil.
