Pirates kidnap 32 fishermen in 4 days
Pirates kidnapped 10 fishermen from Marabhola forest outpost ferry ghat under Sharankhola range under the East wing of Sundarbans Forest Division on Thursday evening.
As the victims were preparing to go for fishing in the Bay of Bengal, the pirates belonging to notorious Zulfiquar Bahini of the Sundarbans kidnapped them and later demanded Tk 20,000 for release of each of the victims, said sources at Sundarbans Forest Division.
The pirates also attacked forest guards at Marabhola forest outpost, they added.
Earlier on Monday night, pirates belonging to notorious Raju Bahini kidnapped 22 fishermen from Dublar Char adjacent to the Bay.
They demanded Tk 5,000 for release of each fisherman.
