Tayebur critically ill in Khulna jail
Health condition of former Khulna City Corporation mayor Sheikh Tayebur Rahman is critical. He has been suffering from Ostrio arthritis, diabetes, blood pressure and loss of appetite since January.
Sheikh Tayebur Rahman is now in Khulna jail. He was arrested from his Dhaka residence on November 2 last year in connection with corruption cases.
His wife Laila Rahman in a statement yesterday appealed to the government to provide him with better medical treatment to save his life.
The jail superintendent has expressed his inability to arrange any special treatment for Tayebur without permission of higher authorities, Laila Rahman said in the statement.
