Depression in Gulf States
The global recession is a good lesson for the super-rich Gulf states. The economic decline has started, and it cannot be stopped with wealth. The Equalizer Effect is 'on'.
The monarchs should now start pondering about plain living and high thinking. It is an insult to the poorer Muslim majority states in other parts of the world, who constitute the majority in the Islamic world. Suppose there were no oil and gas in these desert kingdoms--then what else to offer?
The mighty OIC can easily solve the Israel-Palestine issue, if the members take a united stand. Israel is a home base for the Western imperialists: to grab the energy resources; and to suppress the Muslim states. Divide-and-rule is a classic weapon used by colonialists.
The current century is for change. Grab it!
