Combating traffic jam
The present caretaker govt. deserves congratulations for the recent initiative to make the roads rickshaw free. It is so refreshing. The capital city cannot afford to witness such chaotic traffic causing immense sufferings to the city dwellers. Time and again, I have mentioned that the rickshaws should be phased out in a planned manner from the main city roads over the next few years. I would request the authorities to immediately extend the rickshaw-free road from Kakrail to Bangladesh Bank and also include the main thoroughfares in Gulshan and Dhanmondi under the scheme.
