Communal persecution
I have recently been reading, in some of the local newspapers, about an incident that had happened in Chuadanga district.
It appears that several local families have changed their religion from Islam to Christianity. Because of their action, there have been threats on these people's lives and they have been victims of severe beating. Even defenceless women have been threatened and beaten without remorse.
We know that Islam is the religion of peace, but the action of the local people is a clear violation of what Islam preaches.
