Establishment of agricultural university
Khulna, being one of the oldest divisional cities, is deprived of an agricultural university, though Jessore is one of the prime districts which has been producing various types of crops and vegetables abundantly.
We, the people of Khulna, appeal to the Prime Minister to establish an agricultural university in Khulna. The location could be selected at a convenient place on Khulna - Jessore road to serve Jessore, Khulna and Kushtia.
The agricultural university would be facilitating the task to invent durable rice plants which could grow in saline water in the costal belts. It would help research and develop fisheries and shrimp culture, forest management, diversifications of wildlife, vegetable cultivation, flower cultivation, etc.
Therefore, we are eagerly waiting to see the government's response to this need of the time.
