11th Shah Cement-AKS Golf Tournament opens at Kurmitola Golf Club

The three-day-long 11th Shah Cement-AKS Golf Tournament 2026 was inaugurated at Kurmitola Golf Club in Dhaka on Friday (January 16), bringing together golfers from across the country and abroad.

The tournament was inaugurated by Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque, Commandant of the National Defence College and Vice President of Kurmitola Golf Club, along with freedom fighter Brigadier General Shahidullah Chowdhury, Executive Director of Abul Khair Group, says a press release.

Around 700 golfers are participating in the tournament, including several foreign members of Kurmitola Golf Club and golfers from other golf clubs across Bangladesh. Executive committee members and senior officials of Kurmitola Golf Club and Abul Khair Group were also present at the inauguration ceremony.

The prize distribution ceremony will be held at Kurmitola Golf Club. Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force, is scheduled to attend the ceremony as chief guest, where prizes will be awarded to the winners.
