Ban hartal through constitution
Thanks to TDS for raising voice against inhuman hartals which are not only paralysing the country but also killing brutally innocent people including children like Monir. Ours is the only country in the world which can be shut for 84 hours at a stretch! With this political culture, do you think we will achieve MDGs? A single hartal costs us some invaluable lives. Vandalising and torching hundreds of vehicles and destruction of public property are also common. There is only one way out to get rid of this destructive political weapon, which is to ban it forever using the constitution. Will the PM help ban hartal through introducing necessary provision in the constitution so that people can live in peace?
