Benefits of krill oil as moisturiser
Dehydrated and itchy skin is a common problem during winter. Moisturising the skin through applying a good quality moisturiser is a remedy for dry skin problem. Animal-based Omega-3 rich oil such as krill oil can effectively help to keep moisture inside the skin. Krill oil is extracted from krill, a small, shrimp-like crustacean available in plenty in the northern seas. The Omega-3 fats found in other fish oil is in the form of triglyceride but krill oil contains Omega-3 in phospholipids form, the type of fats found in human cell walls. Krill oil is available in Bangladesh in different brand names and one can get it in bigger pharmacies and cosmetic shops.
Another natural plant-based moisturiser is coconut oil which re-hydrates and retains moisture in the skin. Olive oil is also a good moisturiser.
In addition to application of moisturiser, one should drink plenty of water and eat fresh vegetables, preferably those grown under organic system.
