Bring the culprits to book

People all over the country became panicked recently by a propaganda that children were falling sick and dying after taking vitamin 'A' supplements provided by the government. In Khulna, some 19500 vitamin 'A' capsule produced by the Globe pharmaceuticals, which were either adulterated or outdated, supposedly caused illness to the children at a few upazilas (Dainik Ittefaq, 15 March 2013). This Bangla daily also reported that a quarter in the  Health administration officials is to blame for supplying these fake medicines to this region. These ruthless officials did not even care for the lives of tens of thousands of children related to it. On the other hand, some so-called anti-government people spread propaganda using this sensitive issue for their own benefit. They are so wicked that they posted some photoshopped images such as photos of a Rohingya mother with her newborn baby and that of a Somalian on a social networking site (The Daily Star, 15 March 2013) just to create panic among common people. I think the unscrupulous government officials related to this campaign, the officials of Globe pharmaceuticals and the people who spread rumours -- all are the enemies of the people and they deserve harsh punishment for their misdeeds.
