Drones should be banned
AFP's report on this matter published by many local English dailies on 25th October is possibly correct. Since drones were launched on targets in Pakistan by both the US Joint Special Operation Command and CIA independently, it could well be true. Incidentally, I am going through a book "Drone Warfare," written by Medea Benjamin, a US writer and the co-founder of the peace group called
'Code Pink'. She is considered one of America's most committed and most effective fighters for human rights. The book gives a vivid picture of the development and subsequent deployment of drones by the US armed forces and CIA where not only servicemen, but civilian sub-contractors of CIA were employed to many targets.
After going through the book, I think drones should be banned as an illegal weapon.
