Free legal aid for workers
It is heartening to know that the government recently opened a free legal aid cell in the capital's Srama Bhaban for the impoverished workers. It will provide free legal assistance to the workers as well as help to lodge cases on their behalf. We are all aware of the immense sufferings of the downtrodden workers due to violation of labour laws by the employers. Launching a free legal aid cell for workers is, therefore, a good initiative and we hope that it will make significant contribution towards protecting the legal rights of the poor and vulnerable workers.
